Dr. Robert Nix

President

Dr. Robert Nix has served in pastoral ministry in the Midwest for over 20 years and has had the privilege of leading ministry teams on overseas mission projects during his years of ministry. Dr. Nix has served on the faculty of Berean Bible Institute since 2005 and became President of the Institute in 2010. Dr. Nix holds a B.TH from Grace Bible College, MA from Moody Graduate School and a Ph.D in Biblical Studies from Louisiana Baptist University.  He and his wife Linda currently reside in Port Washington, WI.  Roll Tide!

Pastor Andy Kern

Dean of Academics

Pastor Andy Kern is a 2004 graduate of Berean Bible Institute with a Diploma in Advanced Biblical Studies. He holds a B. Min. and a M. Min. from Masters International School of Divinity.  He has been involved in various ministries and currently serves as a Pastor at Falls Bible Church in Menomonee Falls, WI, and as the Dean of Academics for Berean Bible Institute.  Pastor Kern and his wife Sarah reside in Slinger, WI with their seven children.

Pastor Dan Wolgast

Dean of Students

Pastor Dan Wolgast has served in church ministry for 28 years. He has served in various types of ministry over the years founding and directing Barnabus House, a Pastoral and leadership caring ministry. Pastor Wolgast has also served as Pastor of Grace Bible Church in Wittenberg, WI and currently serves as a Pastor of Falls Bible Church in Menomonee Falls, WI. Pastor Wolgast has been on the faculty and staff of Berean Bible Institute for 20 years and currently serves as the Dean of Students.  Pastor Wolgast holds a diploma in Advanced Biblical Studies from Berean Bible Institute. He and his wife Sheila currently reside in Lebanon, WI.

Dr. Ed Bedore

Dr. Ed Bedore has served in various areas of Christian ministry for 28 years. He has been involved in youth work early in his ministry and served as pastor in churches in Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and Florida. He also served as a missionary with Things to Come Mission in Kenya, Africa for 2 years where he taught in a Bible and ministry training school. He returned from Kenya in 1996 and organized the Berean Bible Institute where he continues to serve as Publications Editor and instructor. Dr. Bedore is a graduate of Christ Unlimited Bible Institute and holds the B.Min., M.Min., D.Min., and Th.D degrees from Covington Theological Seminary. Dr. Bedore and his wife, Linda, currently reside in Venice, Florida.

Pastor Matthew Ritchey

Managing Editor; Adjunct instructor

Pastor Matthew Ritchey is a 2006 graduate of Berean Bible Institute with a Diploma in Advanced Biblical Studies. He also earned a Masters of Biblical Studies from St. Louis Theological Seminary in 2008. Matt served as pastor of Grace Bible Church in Beloit, WI for almost ten years. Currently he is the pastor at Croton Community Church in Croton, Michigan and serves as Associate Director of Bible Doctrines To Live By. Matt, his wife Jenn and their children live in Howard City, Michigan.

Pastor Justin Lynn

Director of Technology and Institutional Advancement

Pastor Justin Lynn is a 2006 graduate of Berean Bible Institute with a Diploma in Advanced Biblical Studies.  He has served in various ministries throughout the US and currently serves as a Pastor of Falls Bible Church, Menomonee Falls, WI.  Beyond his love for all things theology and technology, he is an avid musician.  He resides in Hartford, WI with his wife, Candace and their twin daughters. He also holds an AS in Respiratory Therapy, BS in Cardiopulmonary Science and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. 

Pastor Don Sommer

Adjunct Instructor

Don Sommer came to faith in Christ as a child through an AWANA club in the church his family attended at the time.

After completing college, he took a short-term mission trip the Philippines during which he was challenged to commit his life to full-time ministry. Upon returning to the U.S. in 1982 he enrolled at Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, Michigan (now Grace Christian University) to receive biblical and theological training. It was at GBC that Don met his wife, Susan. They were married in 1984. In 1986 Don and Sue went to the Philippines, where they served as missionaries with Things to Come Mission for 13 years. After a brief time working in the U.S. office of TCM Don became director of Prison Mission Association in 2001, a position he held for 10 years. From 2009 to 2021 Don served as pastor of Grace Church in Indianapolis, IN.

Don holds a B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point, a ThB. From Grace Bible College, and an M.A. from Ball State University in Muncie, IN.

Don and Sue currently live in Indianapolis. They have two adult children and four grandchildren.
